Head of the Giblet - Orlando, FL
SCC rowers had a very full regatta day on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Head of the Giblet on
Turkey Lake. Youth high school rowers were joined by the middle school program rowers and the SCC
Community Rowing Program (CRP) rowers. Bringing home 1st place medals and a unique turkey foot
plaque were the Women’s Varsity 4+ and the Women’s Novice 8+. Awarded with 2nd place medals were
the Men’s Varsity 4+, the Men’s Lightweight 4+, and the Men’s Varsity 8+. Winning 3rd place medals
were the Women’s Varsity 8+, the Women’s Novice 4+, and the Mixed Novice 8+. See photos1, photos2,

Stetson Head of the Hatter Fall Rowing Rendezvous - DeLand, FL
SCC rowers had a great weekend at the first annual Stetson Fall Rendezvous in DeLand, Florida,
Saturday, November 9, 2013. Overall, our crews had a good weekend. Our Varsity Women’s 4+ finished
2nd overall, our Novice Women’s 4+ finished 2nd overall, the Mixed 8+ finished 3rd overall and our
Novice Men’s 8+ finished 3rd overall. Also, the Novice Women’s 8+ finished 4th in their event. At the end
of the day our crews raced well in the sprint races having a lot of fun while they did it. See photos1,

Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday AND 7:30am - 10:00am on Saturday.

learn sweep rowing. Rowers get out on the water, attain the best overall body fitness of any competitive
sport, and make new friends.
